THE ARTISTRY
A 10-Month Artist Development & Exhibition Experience
For Painters • Sculptors • Photographers
The Artistry is a 10-month, city-based artist development program designed for emerging and established visual artists ready to transform their creative vision into a professionally developed collection and exhibition.
Each cohort is limited to 10 selected artists, allowing every participant to receive dedicated guidance while developing their work alongside a small community of creatives.
HOW IT WORKS
1. APPLY
Artists submit an application and portfolio for review. MAS evaluates each submission based on artistic ability, creative vision, originality, commitment, and suitability for the program.
2. GET SELECTED
Artists who are accepted are placed into a city-based Artistry cohort. Each cohort consists of up to 10 artists and begins on a scheduled program start date.
3. DEVELOP
Over 10 months, artists work with a dedicated MAS Art Mentor to develop their collection, refine their artistic direction, and prepare their work for professional presentation.
Artists may create up to 25 original works, depending on their medium and approved collection concept.
4. BUILD YOUR ARTIST BRAND
Throughout the program, MAS helps artists develop their professional presentation through:
Creative direction
Portfolio development
Artist biography and statement
Professional Artwork documentation
Promotional materials
Collection curation
Exhibition Material
5. CREATE YOUR STORY
The artist's journey is documented throughout the program through a professionally produced behind-the-scenes documentary, capturing their creative process, collection development, and journey toward exhibition.
6. PREPARE FOR EXHIBITION
Once the collection is complete, MAS prepares the artist for their exhibition through professional curation, artwork presentation, installation planning, promotional content, and event production.
The program culminates in a professionally produced ticketed gallery exhibition dedicated to the artist's collection.
Each exhibition is limited to 100 guests, with tickets priced at $45 per person.
The artist retains 100% of their ticket revenue.
That's up to $4,500 in ticket revenue if all 100 tickets are sold.
LIMITED-EDITION PRINTS
Artists may also select their strongest works for professional reproduction as limited-edition prints.
Each selected artwork may be reproduced in quantities of up to 50 prints, priced at $30 per print.
This provides artists with another opportunity to generate revenue beyond their original artwork.
7. COHORT SCHEDULE
Applications are accepted during designated application periods. Once selected, artists are enrolled into the next available cohort.
Applications → Selection → Enrollment → 10-Month Development → Exhibition
Artists who are accepted may secure their place before the cohort begins; however, the 10-month program officially begins on the scheduled cohort start date.
A SELECTIVE EXPERIENCE
The Artistry is not an open-enrollment service. Artists must submit their work and be accepted by MAS before joining a cohort.
